Operation Market Garden bridge at Grave, Netherlands

The second longest bridge that needed to be captured on Market Garden was this one at Grave which spans the Maas (Meuse) river. The bridge was captured by John S Thompson who with 15 men took his objective. The bridge was named after Lt. Thompson years after his death.
